Accessibility Statement

Pending legal review. This document is the first draft of EMGravity's legal posture and has not yet been reviewed by counsel. It is provided in good faith but should not be relied upon as definitive. Material updates will be reflected in the “Effective” date above.

EMGravity is committed to making emgravity.space usable by people of all abilities. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as published by the W3C.

1. Our approach

Semantic HTML and ARIA where appropriate, so assistive technologies can interpret the page structure correctly.
Sufficient color contrast for body text on the dark theme; we use the WCAG AA contrast ratio (4.5:1) as the floor for informative text.
Keyboard accessibility for all interactive controls (menus, dropdowns, forms, dialogs) including visible focus indicators and standard arrow-key behavior in menus.
Captions and descriptive filenames on uploaded media where the contributor provides them.
Reduced-motion respect for users who prefer it via the system “Reduce motion” setting.

2. Known gaps

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We are aware that some components do not yet fully meet the AA bar — in particular, embedded third-party widgets (authentication, analytics, embedded video) inherit the accessibility characteristics of their providers. We track issues as they are reported and prioritize fixes against feature work.

3. Reporting an issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have a suggestion for improvement, please contact us at the contact form. When reporting, please include the URL where you encountered the issue, a brief description, and (if relevant) the assistive technology and browser you were using. We aim to respond within five business days.

4. Standards

This statement references the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA, available at w3.org/TR/WCAG21/. References to U.S. accessibility law (Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act) are included for context; conformance to the WCAG AA standard substantially aligns with the technical requirements of those laws as currently interpreted.
